ALL lectures will carry 1CET point for Optometrists and we are working hard to guarantee at least three of the lectures will carry points for Dispensing Opticians, hopefully they will all carry DO points!
The January Peer Review session will carry 3 CET points.
The new LOS programme will be designed so that we can guarantee that at least three of the lectures will be accredited for DO points. To reflect this we will be offering a reduced rate membership for our dispensing optician colleagues.
We are currently beavering away to make the LOS 2015-16 lecture programme better than ever, Watch this space for news, the list will be published as soon as it is finalised.
In the meantime please feel free to let us know if you have any ideas or requirements for your future CET.
Check out Septembers Lecture notes now on the website... click here!
We have now arranged for a new speaker to cover the February session slot (previously allocated to last months talk on OCT). Mt BArry Duncan of ABDO fame has kindly stepped into the void to talk about Paediatric Dispensing.
This talk will obviously have CET points available for DO's as well as OO's.
What's more Barry has suggested that he extends the talk into a a more formal Workshop format. This means that the session will be longer taking 2 hours to complete, the benefit being that 4 CET points will be valid instead of the usual 1.
The committee all believes that this is a good opportunity but before organising this we have decided to garner membership opinion. Please can fill out the survey form here to help us organise this event!
The closing date for this form will be Friday 7th November.
